Redirect NON-WWW to WWW or WWW to NON-WWW - URL Canonicalization

What is URL Canonicalization?
URL Canonicalization is a process of standardization or redirecting of the URL's to one URL. Consider you have a domain name [ EXAMPLE: http://www.professionalcipher.com/ ], but when you enter the URL without WWW it gives error [ EXAMPLE: http://professionalcipher.com/ ]. So to solve this problem URL Canonicalization is necessary for redirecting the domain name to single domain error avoiding 301 error or 401 error and helps SEO Search Engine to index correct URL avoiding duplication.
